Hi! I’m Vic,
I’ve always been drawn to beautiful things with a story—whether it’s a well-worn textile, a thrifted treasure, or a perfectly placed pop of red (you’ll find one in almost every room of my home). Also I might have a bit of a rug problem. I’m a twin and a mom to twin boys, which means connection, duality, and a bit of chaos are woven into my daily life.
Twin Folk grew out of my love for handmade craft, rich textures, and the quiet satisfaction of making something by hand.
My story
Embroidery entered my life shortly after the birth of my twins. Amidst the chaos of that first year, I discovered the calming, meditative power of stitching. Drawn to the simplicity and charm of Scandinavian design, I began making whimsical ornaments. I kept stitching, and stitching.
I signed up for holiday markets with no expectations. I was just excited to share my work and meet people. But I was blown away by the positive response. I could hardly keep up. Grateful, I decided to turn my hobby into a larger project: Twin Folk. I want you to fall in love with embroidery, too. The tactile materials, vibrant colours. Its ability to ease anxiety and promote mindfulness, and connect with others.

How it’s assembled....
Every Twin Folk kit is lovingly assembled in our home studio
Our kits are handmade in Montreal. We print and hand-cut each piece of 100% cotton fabric, selecting only premium materials for the most delightful crafting experience. Our designs draw from a range of inspirations, celebrating our passion for Scandinavian folk art and beyond.
We collaborate with artists to create exclusive patterns inspired by their work. Think of us as curators: We take a piece of art, reinterpret it as embroidery, and choose stitches that complement it. Our goal is to help you connect with the art on a deeper level. Stitching by hand, you’ll discover details and nuances sure to enrich your appreciation.

Community is at the heart of Twin Folk
Embroidery is more than just stitches—it’s connection, creativity, and a little bit of magic.
At Twin Folk, we’re all about making space for you to slow down, make something with your hands, and feel part of a community. Whether you’ve been stitching for years or just picked up your first hoop, our kits have everything you need to dive right in.
We also throw a pretty great get-together. Join us around Montreal for hands-on Embroidery Workshops, laid-back Stitch & Bitch meetups at cozy bars and cafés, and Crafty Movie Nights where we stitch and sip while something fun plays on the big screen. Want in? Sign up for our newsletter to see what’s coming up. And as always, come as you are.
